Garland
Jack rolled his eyes as he passed Tosh's desk. All the monitors had that metallic cheap garland taped around the edges. The only decoration she could fit at her desk, he reckoned.
“Tosh,” she turned from the rift monitor and he gestured to the garland. “Any particular reason for the decoration?”
Tosh hung her head a little. “Sorry Jack, I thought this place could do with a little holiday cheer. It’s just a little damp and dreary.”
Jack burst into a grin. “It’s not a problem, Tosh,” he headed to his office, humming ‘Winter Wonderland’. At the door, he paused. “And Tosh? Merry Christmas.”
Tosh hid a smile as the rift monitor started beeping.
