Notes:

I know it's not much. I wrote this to get over some frustration I was having at my math teacher years and years ago. Not really a true story, but there was some truth to it. Of course any names were changed.

"Homework, Zemirah?" Zemirah hated that phrase so much. She never did her math homework. So when Mrs. Talcott asked her that, Zemirah felt a nanosecond of hatred. Zemirah had already gotten into trouble for not doing it. Being best friends with Virgil, who hit her and gave her black and blue marks was enough. Tamaka, or Tammie, wasn't so great either. She seemed depressed lately. Chantrice was the only one that could understand Zemirah the most. Zemirah and Chantrice never fought. Tammie and Virgil always got pissed at Zemirah. They all had weird friendships together. In fact, Zemirah preferred her friend that moved to Hawaii over Virgil and Tammie. Zemirah was happy because she was coming back for a week for Christmas.
